Captain Yannis Renieris established Santorini Sailing Center in 1991 in an effort to introduce to others what he has come to love during his years as a professional sailor. The sea!

Now, Santorini Sailing Center is a family business owned by Captain Yannis and his three sons Manolis, Michalis and Nicolas.  All four of them are professional captains and have been sailing around the islands for many years. They know the waters in this area better than anyone else which is very important, since the Aegean is not an easy sea if you don’t know it well. Captain Yiannis is a professional sailing teacher and also president of the Yacht Club in Santorini. Having been 3 times around the world on the big ships and facing the hardships that followed these travels, he has definitely had time to contemplate life. His vast knowledge and experience along with his good hearted nature and love for Greece, will guarantee safe and unforgettable experiences. His favourite Yacht is the “Santa Maria”. All the people that have had the opportunity to sail with him are talking about an experience of a lifetime.

The crew of Santorini Sailing Center consists of 4 Yachts in total. Two Sailing boats, “Angelica” and “Santa Maria”, one Catamaran “Carpe Diem” and the speed boat “Heaven Can Wait”.

Angelica

“Angelica” is a wonderful 40 feet vessel of the Jeanneau scale. This is a pure sailing boat that superbly combines the excitement of the real sailing with the pleasure and comfort that only a Jeanneau can ungrudgingly offer. Reconstructed during year 2007, “Angelica” can guarantee enjoyable and comfortable cruises. It can easily accommodate 6 guests for trips that include overnight on board, and up to 10 guests for daily trips. The yacht is equipped with CD-player, fully equipped kitchen with microwave oven, and a fully automatic GPS navigation system.

Santa Maria

“Santa Maria” is both, impressive and luxurious guaranteeing only enjoyable cruises. This special order Sun Odyssey 52,2 is the admiral vessel of the Jeanneau scale. Superiority, an intelligent deck plan and luxurious teak furniture, is the most authentic expression of the sailboat’s tradition. Magic is probably the only word that can match the prestige with the pleasure and give true credit to the stateliness of this very beautiful sailing yacht. Luxury fittings, with 4 double private cabins, each of which has its own private bathroom (Maximum 6 guests). The yacht is fully equipped with air-condition, TV, Video, CD-player, Ice maker, microwave oven, desalination system, and those are only some of the facilities offered on board.

Carpe Diem

It is apparent that care has been taken in the aesthetic and functional design of the yacht: on deck, the coach roof lines are long and elegant, the forms are dynamic, spaces are cleverly used, and ergonomics are optimal. The raised central helm station gives perfect 360° visibility and its large bench seat becomes rapidly the favorite spot to take part and enjoy the navigation skills.
